More than 100 years of history
The history of Industrias Sanz dates back to no less than 1903, when Benigno Sanz began building carts and agricultural implements for the needs of the peasants of the time. He was soon joined by his three sons, who continued the business until the 1930s.
From the 1950s onwards, with the third generation, the company entered into the design and construction of machinery for agricultural and industrial uses, with pioneering contributions in the field of sulphating machines and conveyor belts, among other innovations.
In 1903, Benigno Sanz founded a blacksmith’s shop in Olite where he built carts and agricultural implements. He was joined by his three sons, Apolinar, Jacinto and Rufino, who continued together with the same work until 1930. From that year on, Apolinar continued with the agricultural business and also started repairing all types of machinery.
In 1976, a group of winemakers were looking for a solution for transporting grapes inside the winery that would not break them like the devices of the time. Industrias Sanz manufactured a stainless steel belt and pvc band that did not damage the grapes and also collected the must produced in the field during the journey. The machine was a great success, and soon spread to many factories. With this, the company entered the winery machinery sector, where it is still active today.

In the mid-eighties, the fourth generation of the family joined Industrias Sanz, with Ramón Sanz, Enrique’s son. He divided the company into the three sectors in which it currently operates: agricultural machinery, warehouse machinery and conveyor belts for all types of industrial and port plants. In the latter field, it works for companies such as the Volkswagen Group and the Panama Canal, for which it manufactures independent ship loaders.
In 2011, a fifth generation of the family joined the family with Sergio Sanz. Industrias Sanz wants to continue improving in its three sectors of activity and give a new impulse to the machinery solutions for farms with the new ranges of sprayers and atomizers.
